Where is Weeping Cherry Farm?
Our 30-acre property is located in Moseley, VA, which is in the western part of Chesterfield County (southwest of the city of Richmond near the suburbs of Midlothian, VA). We named our little farm "Weeping Cherry Farm" because of the beautiful Weeping Cherry in the round-about in front of our home. We've only been here a year, so we have a lot of projects left to do, but we're so excited to implement all of our ideas over time!
There are tons of family-friendly places within a few miles of our property, so if you live in another part of the Richmond area and want to make the most of your time in the country, here are some ideas--many make excellent rewards after a successful photo session ;)

Enjoy their amazing frozen custard at their picnic tables. They have a massive sandbox stocked with toys, so my kids never want to leave. There's also a "snack shack" next door, serving hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. And the Skinquarter Market has a pumpkin patch & farm store for fresh produce.

This brewery is coming soon! It's supposed to be very family-friendly. They will have a farm-to-table menu consisting of locally-sourced ingredients. They will have a large patio as well as a tasting room/restaurant.

Pick your own blueberries for only $2.49 a pound (buckets provided). We love that the bushes are low, so even toddlers can easily pick. They also have a greenhouse & pumpkin patch on site.

This awesome farmer's market is open Saturdays in May-October. You'll definitely want to stop for some Yoder's Donuts while you're there--we think they're the best in Richmond! They often have facepainting, live music and more for kids. We can't wait until our hens start laying eggs, and our kids can sell them at this farmer's market!
